GAS-L: Juntos pictures, Bioenergy lists together

 Hi Paul, Stovers, Biofulers,
I just upgraded a little (AOL 7.0+ 80Mb Ram) and now can open more
attachments instead of just looking at words and trying to picture things.
The first attachment I opened was Paul's Juntos stove pictures and I
saw what looked like some version of the preheat stove base idea I submitted.
That was a thrill. I like the idea of a stove that meshes a lot of ideas
allowing the concepts to merge. A simpler idea is bound to precipitate out.
I would like to thank all stovers who have been supportive of my
discussion strings lately. Kevin, Crispin, Tom R. Paul A, and all others who
have written in.
When you think about it, this BIOFUELS group has more power in the
world of ideas than we realize. The energy biz controls all other businesses
in a way. Being at the cutting edge of modern energy research we have more
respect than we often realize with other professions as far as the
consideration of new concepts. No one is going to acknowledge that they
respect what a bunch of pyromaniacs have to say, but they sure remember the
results of what we have said.
I wonder how many oil, coal, and nuke company people lurk on these
lists just waiting for ideas to apply to their situations. It is only fair
because we use their ideas too. We need to use this to our advantage by
debating general politics of energy, invention and innovation, and uses
thereof.
I will suggest anybody wanting to, write me on "BIOENERGY" list where
this conversation should be, unless it is particularly a stoves or charcoal
issue. That list is often underused, while stoves can sometimes be overused.

Ken Boak enjoys the even broader talk of alternatives, Sterling
motors, Babbington burners and politics on wastewatts list. John Archibald
and others like myself are on many lists. Sometimes a real good topic is
dropped because it doesn't fit into a list and it should just be politely
switched over to it's proper home.
All persons interested in the broader issues should be on both or many
of the lists. You can always delete what you are not interested in. I cross
post many new topics to see where the interest is, but often find the most
response from stoves even on non stoves issues. This shows where the party
is lately. I feel out of place sometimes. Sometimes Ron L. seems to as
well. It is to his credit for attracting so many good people to stoves.
Tom R. would probably be just as happy to address those technical
chemistry issues with all of the chemists & engineers on "Gasification" as
well and not bore the simple wood stove guys. He & other moderators know to
cross post what stovers want to hear. A simple entry post allowing persons
to see what related topics will be, or are being discussed on another list
would help us tune in.
This classification of topics would help the archive people as well.
A lot of good people drop lists because the topics are not what the
lists are about. There is a home for all of us and anybody that has a list
for other fringe related topics could make a simple statement inviting
specialists there.
I will address RETORT char on Gasification now, as it is seldom really
a stove issue. We do produce gas in retorts, don't we? This is technical
science. Can Karve, Kevin, C. Tom T. and all other charcoal chemists follow
me there?
Open pyrolisis & charcoal producing stoves, will remain on stoves.
Patents and related general issues on bioenergy and wastewatts.
Does this make sense to all? Finish this discussion on stoves, then
I'll try to see you wherever we belong.
       Thanks again,
                            Daniel Dimiduk
