Leftovers from oily plants

Hello All!
As I understand, John Flottvik in Canada is burning organic waste to produse
electricity. Is this household waste or others?
I'm wondering about the use of leftovers from the production of oil from
plants. Like olives, corn, soya and palm oil. These leftovers should contain
carbon and even some oil. Are they used for energy production? Or are they
to popular for animal forage?
