Dear all
Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for
input. 27 people responded and the general consensus is
that bioenergy implementation is dictated by
affordability, energy policies and bureaucratic interference. Although
these are the thoughts and opinions of a scattering of professionals
in the field of bioenergy technologies, it is interesting to
see the range of expertise and the diversity in the
organisations leading the way. Perhaps this is the greatest barrier for
bioenergy implementation, for it is difficult to measure the progress of
technologies which rely on such collaborative efforts.
I have attached the Excel spreadsheets with the
results. There are five worksheets: 1) Canada, 2) Alberta, 3) Research topics,
4) Tally and 5) Chart.
I will continue to build the Alberta contacts
spreadsheet as I get more involved with work here in Alberta. I have kept the
details of those who were particularly interested in this information and will
update you periodically.
