As usual, I think you are right -- burying the carbon would be sequestration. However, whether one uses a process "sequestering" (here, burying carbon) or "control" (using the biomass based carbon as "closed loop carbon"), it's better than what we are doing now.

The commercial side of me hates the idea of burying biomass carbon, when it is an excellent source of gasifier feed. But I see your point.
