Hello All, How many commercial-sized, for-profit wood to ethanol plants exist today?? Where?? Wood hydrolysis looks simple on paper or perhaps even the lab bench. Since it is a non-reversible, mass transfer limited process its economic, large-scale implementation appears not to be practical. The truth of this statement has been demonstrated many many times over the years. Laszlo, could you please provide a more detailed reference to the ethanol power fuel cell which you mentioned in English. I am beginning work on a methanol powered system. Thank you. Harry W.
