Notwithstanding the comments of Dr. Glick, I want to weigh in here saying that Mr. Pletka's comments were entirely on the mark. Florida lacks good wind resources (at least on-shore), and that distinctly limits Florida's renewable energy resources. Photoelectric in Florida is not economical and there are no water resources for hydro.

In short, Florida does indeed have few options. The only real and practical option is biomass energy, as Dr. Glick points out. However, that doesn't mean that anything written by Mr. Pletka was incorrect.
