DIG-L: digestion

I am a third year undergraduate studying Product Design, and I am attempting
to devise a system for the home anaerobic digestion of kitchen waste. This
whole project rests upon the premise that:
a) anaerobic digestion is faster than aerobic
b) enough gas could be produced to keep the biomass warm in a British winter
c) bio gas can be compressed for storage i.e. will the gases involved
liquify and separate under pressure

Are these assumptions correct?
And could you please send me any information or contacts you feel would be
relevant to my goals
