DIG-L: Nitrogen removal in ponds systems

Dear "Digestion" fellows,

I'm searching valuable experiences of Nitrification/Denitrification (modified design for instance or any adaptation) in existing pond systems, to remove nitrogen from pig slurry.

The aim of this search, is to see how far it's reliable and feasible, the nitrogen removal in a existing pond system ( 3 anaerobic + 1aerobic + 1 facultative + 1Maturation) to evaluate the possibility of polishment the pond system effluent (after some nitrogen removal), with a vegetation filter concept,  regarding  natural receptor acceptance.

Many thanks for your kind attention,

Luís Ferreira
