DIG-L: biogas and odour emission

Dear colleagues,
I am involved in assessing agricultual biogas units. It is generally
assumed that biogas processing of animal wastes reduced odour
emission from stables and litter/slurry tanks. At the internet site
 >http://www.britishbiogen.co.uk< I found the following statement:
"AD can reduce the odour from farm slurries and food residues by
up to 80%". But I could not find so far scientific research data
about the amount of reduction that could be cited in an expertise.
So please answer the following questions:
do you have scientific data concerning odour emissions from
agricultural biogas plants compared to conventional slurry or solid
litter management of farm animal housing or can you give advise
where to find respective data.
With many thanks in advance, sincerely yours
