DIG-L: e-seminar: how to install a polyethylene biogas digester

You are invited to join the Integrated Bio-Systems Network (IBSnet)
electronic seminar on :

"How to install a polyethylene biogas digester"

to be presented by Mr. Francisco X. Aguilar
(The Royal Agricultural College Cirencester, UK)

Date: 5-23 March 2001

Seminar-Chairperson: Prof. Horst Doelle, Chairman IOBB

Registration: http://www.ias.unu.edu/proceedings/icibs/ibs/ibsnet/af-sem.html
or contact foo@swipnet.se

Abstract:
The technology to produce biogas is not well spread in many countries due to
problems related to management and cost of construction. The polyethylene
biogas system offers a solution to these problems and combines the
environmennntal benefits of biodigestion with a low cost technology and easy
management. It solves management problems related to animal excrement while
offers benefits in the use of biogas as a of fuel and digested slurry as an
organic fertilizer. The simplicity of this technology is a critical point for
the extension of appropriate technologies that can be transfer from farmer to
farmer at a grass-root level.

Registration
There are 3 ways to register
(a) send an email to listserv@segate.sunet.se and use the registration
command:
SUB ET-W2 yourfirstname yourlastname, country
e.g.
SUB ET-W2 Francisco Aguliar, UK
(b) go to http://segate.sunet.se/archives/et-w2.html
(c) seek personal assistance from foo@swipnet.se

Participation Fee
There is a participation fee.
Payment will enable you to participate in all other IBSnet "special"
activities of 2001. Participation fee for 2001 is calculated as 1 per cent
(%) of your average month's salary. For example, if your monthly salary is
20,000 Philippine Pesos, then your participation fee is 200 Pesos for 2001.

Payment
Payment will be made to "IBSnet treasurers" who will be located in different
countries. This will help reduce banking charges for participants and the
IBSnet. You will be contacted later with more information.
