DIG-L: Dry Digestion

G'day All,

For quite a while I have thought "dry" digestion should be possible for
poultry manure and horse manure that are normally collected by scraping,
as well as the waste from straw based piggery systems that are being
used here a little.

I have seen an article about Harold Bates in England and was wondering
if anyone had any details of his system or knew of any other work in
this area?
