RE: DIG-L: Biogas International 2002, Belin Jan 17-19

Hello Michael
I also would be interested in obtaining a copy of the report that you
mentioned. If you are getting a lot of requests, perhaps you could post it
on a web site?
Thanks
Marty

Dear Tom,

the current status on anaerobic digestion in Europe is not to be explained
in one sentence. Perhaps one aspect is vital, that there is a minimum price
system necessary to insure a stable renuneration for the operation of the
biogas plant. In all the countries which have that, the number of biogas
plants especially in the agricultural sector is increasing; in Germany by
about 400 last year.

The conference itself has been held for the second time in a sucession of 7
months and took place with about 100 international and national
participants. Proceedings are available.

Best greetings to Oregon.

Michael Kottner

P.S.: I have written a report on the current situation of biogas for
agriculture and industry in Europe and will send it on request.
