Re: DIG-L: CHP suppliers

Richard,

some of the German manufacturers you find on a list (pdf file) at www.biogas.org, the web page of the German Biogas Association.

To give you an idea of the price you must calculate at an average of 700 to 800 Euro per kW installed capacity. This includes automatic controlling of the unit. The installation and the housing goes extra.

If you want I could send you a specialized article on the subject of on farm chp-plants in German. Perhaps someone in the list has time to translate it.

In Germany the prices of digestors in the size of 350 m3 are ranging from 150 to 250 Euros per m3 depending on the material with vertical completly mixed digestors and between 400 and 500 Euros per m3 with plug flow digestors.

Best Regards

Michael Köttner

Subject: DIG-L: CHP suppliers

Thanks to those for the info on the use of straw in digestion.

Who are the main manufacturers and suppliers of CHP units and anaerobic digesters in the UK and Europe?

I need to find the approximate cost of a 15, 30 and 60 kW CHP unit, and a 350 m^3 CSTR digester for the digestion of pig waste.

Any other advice or suggestions on the specified dimensions would be greatly appreciated,
