DIG-L: Co-Digestion of Supermarket Organic Wastes and Primary Sludge

The March/April 2002 issue of Industrial Water World (Pennwell publications, www.industrialww.com) has an interesting article by Ben Purcell of WS Atkins  (www.wsatkins.com) describing the benefits of co-digestion of supermarket organic wastes and primary sludge at the Mitchell Laithes wastewater treatment works in Yorkshire, UK.  I understand that co-digestion is common in Europe, especially Denmark.
