DIG-L: Risk of methanisation in a sludge tank storage

Dear all,

I am working on an incineration plant of wastewater sludge. Sludge is dewatered (between 65 to 85% of humidity). Sludge is not stabilized and is stored in a sludge tank storage of 125 m3 before injection in the furnace.

I would like to know if there is some risks of methane, H2S or other gas released in the sludge tank storage and I would like to quantify this risk (quantity of methane and other gas released in this conditions).

I would be very grateful if you could send me informations on the subject.

Thank you in advance for your collaboration.

Sincerely yours.
