I have taken the LEAP OF FAITH.... :) I broke grtound last week on a small piggery..and I am now working on an actual PHYSICAL model biogas digester, which I hope to photodocument as I go along, and share withthe list. I have taken the following from a table that I found, and am kinda wondering how you all run the input stage of your digester. To do a proper model, do I do the average daily input (3.7~26 / 8) as my feeding/loading rate? Or do you do a smaller input and "buffer" the excess manure? I will have inclined concrete pens, with washdown twice daily, waterers and misting when really hot. I will be doing 32 pigs from piglet to 250lbs finished weight. Table 1. Daily Manure Production As Excreted. Component Units Nursery Grower Finisher Finisher Replacement Boar Gestating Sow + Litter 50-125 lb.Pigs 125-175 lb. 175-250 lb.
