Even cheaper and far easier to get is crushed up rusty tin cans, but do take
care if you put them into a plastic barrel, because to regenerate your iron
you just allow a slow flow of air through the barrel.  The  iron sulphide
reverts to metalic iron and flowers of sulphur with a lot of heat, which can
melt the plastic.   ATB.KenC.
