Re: DIG-L: Digester out put the Same as Compost?

I've managed food waste digesters.  We used the solids screened from the digester effluent as a feed stock to be mixed with ground yardwaste composting.  Although many types of organics can be beneficial to soils (blood meal, manures), AD solids may not be as stabilized as most horticultural applications require.  Aerated curing will help, but developing the most beneficial fungal population will generally take added processing.
