In one sense you are right, coal, oil, biomass, wind, and hyrdo are all
stored energy from the sun. Solar heating and photovotaic electrons are
more directly from the sun. The steam and hot water from geothermal
could be thought of as stored energy from the heat in the middle of the
earth. But this certainly is not the common way to think.
