Curtis/PMC has several groups of controller models. For road-going cars, we
pretty much stick to the 1221 and 1231 groups. These have four more digits
as a suffix to specify voltage and amperage range. You've got one of the
lower voltage 1221s that isn't usually used for road-going cars. Another
group is the 1209 group, and someone had asked if there was any trade-in
policy for those. (There isn't.) The 1209 is mostly used for industrial
applications.
