Re: 24-48 Volt Motor Controllers

I would probably be interested in a 300 to 400 amp controller. I have
two objectives. First of all is to get my "small project" started. I
will be experimenting with different motors, modifying a couple, and
possibly trying to build my own perm mag motor. If I tire of the project
(building a 1903 olds replica) I may use the controller and final motor
in a motorcycle. My "big project" died on the vine, the 15 ton glider
sold for way too much money so I scraped the whole idea.

This sounds promising, are they expensive?

One or two of the motors I plan on working with might be this light but
I think the original 300 to 400 amp would be better, if the motor only
draws 175 to 200 amps it will still work, but if this controller is used
with a motor that needs 300 amps it won't work out.

Great, I heard the "squeal" you guy's have been talking about for the
first time a short while back. It would drive me crazy after a while.

I am not familiar with DAX are they a comparable unit to Curtis and are
they in the same price range?
Thanks for the info
