How about if we farm the plankton bloom and extract the carbon and iron,
we
can build light carbon fiber bodies for our cars and put the iron back
to feed
the next crop of plankton.
1) oil + car-1 -> CO2
2) CO2 + iron -> plankton
3) plankton + energy -> C2 + iron + 2O2
4) C2 + energy -> cars-2
repeat as the need for cars requires.
