I am pleased to report that the above is beginning to happen here in the
windy Great Plains.  NPPD -- nebraska's largetst public utility -- is set
to build two 750kW wind turbines as a test project, each capable of
providing power to about 50 homes, is my understanding.  There are similar
projects going on in Iowa and Minnesota.

We straddle two of the nation's busiest railways... both carrying something
like 7, 100 car coal trains an hour, all of it destined for midwest power
plants and eventually up into the atmosphere.
