Recently the Mendocino Council of Governments began an EV test program
thanks to Janet Orth of REDI.  It is the first rural program that we know
of.  The first car was an EV1 leased from Green Motor Works in Alameda.  In
order to charge it we got a Magna-Charger with the car.

**In order to use it we plugged it into the charging station 14-50
CONDUCTIVE outlet**

So we have a conductive-inductive charger.

I repeat my previous comments about conductive charging.  Go to any
dockside marina with shorepower, including those in highly conductive
saltwater.  Take a look at all the CONDUCTIVE outlets with all the boats
plugged in with CONDUCTIVE plugs.  Supply wires often run along the bottom
of the dock which is sometimes under water.  After looking at this common
set-up used for decades without noticeable problems tell me the inductive
charging brouhaha isn't a bunch of nonsense.

Also, No one seems to have picked up my comments about the EV Industries
Association.  Bob Batson and Mike Brown were active.
