Just a variation on the theme. My vehicle uses the old gas-filler
location at the rear of the vehicle, but I usually back into parking
spaces, which allows for the shorter connecting cord as well as the
front-mounted plug and drive-in arrangement. This has a few
advantages: in the unlikely event that I have to be towed out, the
vehicle is in position for this (front-wheel drive). Exit visibility
is better driving out (which usually seems to be busier than when I
arrive at work. It also permits faster get-aways, kind of useful
when driving an instant-on EV and everyone else is waiting for their
cars to warm up before driving away.
