Sysop: Monthly POSTing of common EV & AE List commands +
Electric Vehicle Discussion List, Alternative Energy List Instructions
*text email based discussions - !DO NOT attach files to POSTs!

*Don't type the angle brackets "<>" on any of the following commands
*The AE List commands are the same, except substitute ae for ev
*The AE or EV List will not accept messages from your email address if
 you are subscribed. (ie: Replace <your name> with your first & last
 name)

-To subscribe, send the following email message:

TO: listserv@sjsuvm1.sjsu.edu
SUBJECT: thanks
MESSAGE: subscribe ev <your name>

Wait for a reply, then read & reply to THAT message:

     TO: <**don't change this - filled in automatically**>
SUBJECT: thanks
MESSAGE: ok
         set ev repro

Once subscribed, to send EV List POSTs (messages) for everyone to
read, use the email address:  ev@sjsuvm1.sjsu.edu

Common listserv commands
Listserv commands are emailed to the listserver. It automatically
processes the command and sends a reply stating the results of the
command or any errors found. Put each command on a separate line.
A sample listserv command:

     TO: listserv@sjsuvm1.sjsu.edu
SUBJECT: thanks
MESSAGE: <use the below list>

         set ev repro
         See your own POSTs.

         set ev digest
         Deliver all email in a single large daily email message.

         set ev mail
         Deliver each ev list email as soon as it is sent.

         thanks
         A quick way to see if the server is working.

         signoff ev
         Unsubscribes you from the EV List.

the EV List are a great inconvenience to EV List subscribers on a low
