Celebrity endorsements are one of the weakest ways to promote your
cause. And actors have no automatic expertise in anything - except
looking at a camera and reading (convincingly) whatever is put in front
of them.

The public may fall for the "celebrity bandwagon" routine once - but if
they buy something that doesn't work, they won't be fooled again. Then
they'll resent the entire product category. So EV's had better be
promoted on their own merits.
