CO2 = plant growth/ The REAL Scientific Community Responds
It's nice to think that hi CO2 will result in more foilage, but the reality
suggests that C-4 plants, which comprise most of our foodstuffs, suffer in
this environment. Controlled experiments to date have suggested that while
the leaves of those plants will often grow faster, they don't produce
proportional hormones and proteins which retard predation. As a result,
insects have a field day, and the entire food chain goes out of whack.
Again, a case of some dime-a-dozen wacko who belongs to a think tank and
gets published in a car journal.
