New Zivan 'Smoother' Battery Management System
Hi,
Greg McCrea, Electric Conversions, Sacramento CA, 916-441-4641,
<greg_mccrea@macnexus.org> returns from Italy next week with, I hope, two
Zivan 'Smoother' battery regulators in his luggage, one for Don McGrath and
one for Bob Wing to beta test.
The advantage of the Zivan over the Badicheq (this is the corrrect spelling
from the Mentzer brochure, BAttery Diagnostic and CHarge EQualizing system
BADICHEQ) is not only in price, expected to about 1/5 the cost but the that
the AGM batteries are equalized both oncharge and discharge.
The device is just now in production for nominal voltage of 12V and up to 55 Ahr
capacity Pb-acid batteries. It will manage up to 32 individual batteries or
buddy pairs with separate 5 A DC-DC converters. Price is more for each
additional converter ordered.
If anyone on the EV List wants a spec sheet, double sided single page, send
SASE to Bob Wing, POB 277, Inverness CA 94937-0277 and I will mail a copy
to you.
Cheers, Bob Wing
