I know nothing of electronics, but check out the controllers from
astroflight (dot-com, etc, to see the site) -- they may be more than "low
priced" at $110-120 each, but the 204D or 207D are rated for up to 36 NiCd
cells ( about 60V max), 50amps continuous current, 80amp intermittent.
