Blue Meanie 0-60 time

The Wired article also has John Wayland quoted:
Wayland: Currently, I have eight. Here are two of
                     them:

One, the Blue Meanie -- '72 Datsun 1200 sedan
                     'sound-off car." ...snip... With 156
volts of Optima AGM batteries, and only weighing
in at 2320 pounds, this is one quick and spirited
EV! It can do zero-60 in about eight to nine
seconds, and can easily eclipse 100 mph!...snip

John, if the Meanie can do 0-60 in 8-9 seconds then why didn't you race it
at Woodburn? The Wabbit and the Yellow Screamer (192 volts each) were
only doing 0-60 in about 16 or 17 seconds (if my memory is correct). Did
Wired mis-quote you or is the Meanie (and you presumedly)that good?
