Nicads..

I was /just/ about to shell out for some cheap-o lead acids, when I
found some second hand "slightly used" 80AH nicads, enough to make
120 volts or more. Does anyone have experience with nicads? I can
get them for a lower price than even cheap floodeds, which is a bit
worrying, but am reliably informed that this price is 1/20th the new
cost.

So assuming they're not worn out, is it worth the risk? What's the
Peukert constant for nicads? :)

They are in crates of 10 with high current welded links between cells,
and the cells look sealed, and have stainless steel cases.

Any advice?
