no war - just opinions, that's how we learn
Less than 7% of the world has access to cars, and not all of them are
in US, cars are not the problem of pulution, and the US is always
blamed as the problem it seems and sometimes, well never mind, you are
right. Some of us drive to work in a day as far as it is across some countries.
Some of the corporations have more income than some countries spent on
education. It is very difficult to see the whole picture sometimes. We
donate more to charities than you can ever believe. And yes we are always
trying to fix things, sometimes not to the liking of others. I just don't
like the part where government tells us what we must like and use.
With the technology as it is today I don't see how we can be EV yet.
I think the push is too soon. As mentioned I live 27 miles to groceries
and a gas station, some folks on the farms in these parts live 50 miles
or more. Politians make laws with "e-motions" not facts or common sense.
Do you remember the alcohol experiment in Brazil fifteen years ago?
Over population at a intense rate of growth is by far the greatest enemy
we have ever had. and it will kill us all.
In most places here gasoline (petrol I think) is less a than $1.20 and
more than half is taxes. This state alone the tax is $0.43 per gallon,
then there is federal tax. From the others on the web, and I don't know
for sure, I am told that gasoline actually cost (delivered to the pump)
in most European countries at less than $0.22 cents per gallon, the rest
is taxes, done on purpose to restrict people from getting and using it.
called goverment controls
And for a little perspection on the subject, over the past six
years (spenting all my time, and money from many extra long hours at my
job) to have a complete solar home, my goal is by Christamas time to be
finished. I am deeply involved in conservation.
