Puch

My wife & I both split a gut over your story John. Loretta is a fixture
  in EV culture now.

"The Allstate nameplate is just that. The bike's actually made by Puch.
It's a two-cycle twin from about 1956/1960."

"Anyway If anyone's interested here's his number (360) 297-4879. He lives
in Indianola WA, not far from Rich Rudman."

In '61 or '62, I ran across a Puch engine. Maybe it was in a magazine,
but I think it was at school. One of the cylinders was an air pump and
all the power came from the other cylinder. Many of the disadvantages of
a regular two stroke were cured by the design. More friction and balance
problems made it a hard design to love, but fun to try and figure out.
