To disregard ideas from across the pond as not "in perspective of ouirs
needs" here in the US is unfair. Many of us here will find that our needs
are more like their needs, rather than yours. Its not so simple in a
country as large as the USA.

Personally I live in a rather large town and very close to a major US city
(Seattle WA). A twenty mile range and 50 mph top speed would cover most of
my driving. A 100 mile range and a 70mph top speed would cover everything
I've driven this year except for the Portland EV awareness day and the trip
900 miles south to see my grandparents. I suffered both of those in a Geo
Metro (not bad Portland and back, but very annoying on the longer run). 1/2
of the US population lives within 50 miles of salt water. That 1/2, myself
included, live in a very different setting compared to those who live
inland.
