This thread seems *on topic* to me. Our poor public policies 
related to fuel taxation, military support, and subisdies for the 
petroleum economy are making the climate for EVs much 
more difficult, and incidentally creating all sorts of problems 
a short way down the road... I'm enjoying the discussions.
