Woodburn first-person

My e-mail server decided to eat my first post, so I am
recomposing my impressions of Woodburn:

First off, let me thank everyone who let my son Aaron
partake of the day's fun.

>From a personal angle, I did things I had never done before:

>Pilot a dead White Zombie (is that redundant?) while
it was being towed by Otmar's Davenport of Doom.

>Mop up Wabbit juice from the dragstrip...after having
hand-scooped nearly a cooler-full of ice onto the
Blue Flame's radiator.

>Lend a hand at removing Goldie's motor.

>Tow the 50KW generator into place.

>And more "physically memorable" than the chili
with nacho cheese from the snackbar, spend a few
seconds as a passenger of the Maniac Mazda...
talk about visceral acceleration!

The trip up and back was tiring, so I look forward
to the Alameda drags...they're not "official", but they
are less than 50 miles away! I'd vote for looking into
Sear's Point as the next California site for NEDRA
events. See ya then.
