Hi Eric and all,

Nu-Kar Electric Vehicles the Citicar/Comutacar parts folks in Tennesse
were working on this several years ago. As I understand it, the concept
was kind of a baby SUV or Jeep style replacement body, made of
fiberglass. I don't know how far this went. You might check with them.
They have a web site at:

http://www.api-assembled.com/nu-kar.html

One Citicar I saw on the web had the whole top removed turning the car in
to a convertable. Not pretty, but great headroom. The original Citicar
bodies were vaccum formed over blanks. It seems to me it wouldn't be to
difficult to make up new blanks and have plastic formed on an as needed
basis. Just a thought.

Thanks,

Mike Chancey
