What you have there is your basic POS. I think that if you paid more than
$500.00 for the thing (as you described it), you would be very upside down in
it. Also remember, rust never sleeps! These cars require a rustfree
substructure to be functional and safe as an ICE vehicle, let alone adding all
the weight of batteries and EV components. My advice is to watch the Auto
Trader Online ads in the rustfree states (like Az.). I have seen running and
driving, rustfree 914's here for around $ 2500.00. Save your money and take
30-60 days to find the right car. You will be miles ahead of the game, $$
wise, and you won't have a lot of energy invested in trying to make a silk
purse out of a sow's ear. If you find a car you want to check out in the Phx.
