I purchased an 89 Escort conversion with a personal loan.
The loan officer was not concerned and is rather interested
in the on-going project.

The Escort is insured by State Farm and with no problems. Of
course the agents first statement was "we don't insure golf
carts". Then with some skepticism, she said come down and
we'll see. Once I arrived and it became obvious it was a
"real" car, no problems.
