OT to the Extreme
This is so far off topic it is truly astronomic... but I thought the group
might find this of interest. If not, I apologize in advance.

A telecommunications engineer name Paul Dore who works for Plessy
apparently may have discovered an artifical signal coming from a star
system 22 light years
away.
There is a press conference scheduled for Wednesday. While many have
concluded this is a hoax, the engineer's findings have been confirmed by
a amateur radio operator in Guernsey (see his posting on the site above for
details) and also apparently by scientists at the largest steerable
radio telescope in Europe at Effelsberg (?) Germany.
