A quick note...

Everyone...

I have sincerely appreciated the emails I have gotten about the harshness of
some of the posts. As I said originally, most of you have posted very
educational and informative posts. I have had a couple of you who have even
explained to me that you sometimes grow impatient with the newbies. I know
we can be a pain in the... when we are always asking the same questions to
'save the world' with our ideas for EVs. But, I think the better reply is
to take a deep breath, remember we are new (and still think the world is a
savable place) <grin> then educate us as to 'why' we can't save it.

I had the utmost respect for the knowledge in this group before my post.
And, I must say, that since that post and after reading the replies I have
been getting... personally, my respect for you folks has only grown. There
are some of you who have never said a word that could be taken wrong that
have apologized to me 'in case you had'. That is so admirable.

I know that all of us newbies want to save the world with our EV ideas...
and a note to the rest of the newbies, let's not get too religious with our
ideas. If we have the idea, someone else probably had it and debated it
here a long time ago. So, when you ask about putting a windmill on top of
your EV, it might be better to ask why it's not done than to make a lenghty
post explaining how you intend to accomplish this industry changing concept.
<smile>

I know I am guilty of the same thing. Of telling when I should be asking,
but it might go a long way toward the newbies if we ask more than tell. It
won't be long until we will understand and be helping other newbies! The,
we might not even 'be' newbies anymore!

I do appreciate the knowledge that is represented here. You guys who have
been in this have so much to teach us newbies. I just hope we can learn to
ask you instead of trying to reinvent the wheel on you every other day.
<big grin>

To the newbies... keep thinking, it's the fresh ideas that keep everyone
thinking and keep technology on the move. But, let's not get too excited
about an idea until we ask why they aren't already doing it. If it's a
good, fresh idea, something tells me that all the folks on this list will be
telling you!

And to those who have tolerated us so well, we offer thanks. We are not
'trying' to test your patience... we're just new. Honest!

Again, I appreciate all the replies. My only suggestion is that we ALL
re-read our posts before we send them and see if it's too much for what
we're trying to ask or say.

With the greatest respect,
