I'm building an EV without a clutch (sorry Rich <g>, all VW based kit cars
are coffins on wheels anyway). I'm going for the contactor on the throttle
and another on the ignition switch. I think that getting power off in event
of failier will be no problem (important, Optima batterys can really dish
out amps).
