The Citicar weighs about 600 kgf (1300 Lb.) with me in it. It uses about
40 to 50 amps (at 72 volts nominal) to drive at 60 km/h. It has low
rolling resistance because it weighs so little and has the tires pumped up.
The double the amps I was referring to was in order to get that horrendous
acceleration. The amps are up a bit over 200 amps when I floor it. Poor
little motor has been taking it, but I don't do this all the time.
