Overcharge Prevention with Smoother?

When we first started the experiment with the Guest chargers, I
remember it was initially an attempt to solve the same problem that the
regs were introduced to solve - overcharging the stronger batteries in the
pack while the rest were still not fully charged when using a series charger.
Perhaps I missed something in the various descriptions of Smoother
operation, but I don't remember any discussion of how you would prevent
this same problem when using a series charger with the Smoother.
If the Smoother does have an adequate means of preventing this, then I
would tend to agree with Bill that a series charger/Smoother setup would be
the optimum setup commercially available at this time for AGM's.
So, Bill, Randy, or any of you other Smoothies out there, how does the
Smoother handle the problem of individual overcharging?
