The motors were originally driven by two separate controllers and two
separate battery packs connected in parallel. Now driven by one DCP1200
with motors wired in parallel to it. Only change needed is about 6:1 ratio
instead of 4.4:1 it currently has. With 288V controller the motors could
be driven in series @ 144V each for full current on take-off, then switch
to 288V half current for high speed.
