Re: Polluting lawn mowers

According to http://www.cleanairmowing.com/expert.htm

"Pollution facts!

The replacement of every 500 gas mowers with non-motorized mowers spares the
air 212 pounds of hydrocarbons, 1.7 pounds of nitrogen oxides (both smog
ingredients), 5.6 pounds of irritating particles and 1,724 pounds of carbon
dioxide every summer day.

According to CNN, in a single day, Southern California's lawn tools spew out
more pollution than all the aircraft in the Los Angeles area. A single mower
puts out more poison than 73 new cars."
