Actually new City-ELs are manufactured in Germany in a small town near
Wurzburg. The project of this electric single-seated 3-wheeler started
more than ten years ago in Danmark where they planned to go into mass
production (10'000) but they didn't succeed because the construction
wasn't as good as it should have been. They restarted the company
several times. In total more than 5'000 City-Els have been produced so
far. Most of them running in Danmark, Germany and Switzerland. The
actual model has got some improvements.
