Re: A 48 volt Freeway EV?

Although 48 volts may not be as practicle for a freeway vehicle it can be
suitable for a lower budget around town car. Joe Smalley holds the class
SC/I NEDRA record with his 48 volt Fiesta which ran a 16.066 ET at 40.73
MPH in the eighth mile at the 1998 Woodburn Drags. When he went up against
"Madman" Rudman who was running about three times the voltage they were
neck to neck for a while at the beginning. The fun launch factor was still
there. Whoever thought they would hear me advocating low voltage EVs :-)
