Under normal conditions, any of them should be OK. The designers (should have)
taken EV current surges and transients into account in their designs.
I have the most experience with the Rudman regulators. They can be killed by a
charger that doesn't drop to low current at the end of charge. They also fail
if you reverse a battery, or if water or battery acid gets on the PC board.
I have a Zivan Smoother that died with numerous blown fuses and stuck relays
from some kind of dramatic "incident". It also does not have any environmental
protection.
I have no direct experience with the BatPros. Perhaps others can comment on
their experiences?
